The bout features the four-organization unified champion Naoya Inoue (33) from Ohashi Gym and the challenger, former WBC and IBF unified bantamweight champion Junto Nakatani (28) from M.T. Gym. Kameda expressed his difficulty in predicting the outcome, stating, "It's tough, really tough," as he pondered the match. Inoue has never faced an opponent like Nakatani, who is tall with a long reach and can throw punches from various angles. Similarly, Nakatani has not experienced the world-class technique and speed that Inoue possesses. Additionally, Nakatani has the strategic guidance of trainer Rudy Hernandez, making the fight's development unpredictable. Last December, Nakatani narrowly defeated Sebastian Hernandez of Mexico, ranked 10th in the WBC super bantamweight division, in Saudi Arabia. Despite some criticism that his performance lowered his standing, Kameda argued, "My evaluation has actually risen. His punching power remained consistent through 12 rounds, indicating intense training." Kameda concluded by saying, "It depends on how the fight unfolds.
