He discussed the WBC world bantamweight challenger decision match held on the 11th at Ryogoku Kokugikan, where the second-ranked Tenshin Nasukawa (27) from Teiken Gym achieved a TKO victory at the end of the ninth round against Juan Francisco Estrada (36) from Mexico, a former two-division world champion and the top-ranked contender. Estrada suffered two fractured left ribs from Nasukawa's body blows and withdrew from the match, heading straight to the hospital afterward. On Instagram, Estrada praised his opponent, saying, "I fought a wonderful fighter." Gushiken commented, "I thought there were a few punches. It hurts, you know. It felt like 'please stop it soon.' He did well. It hurts just to touch it."
Yoko Gushiken was born on June 26, 1955, in Ishigaki City, Okinawa Prefecture. He won the national high school championship during his time at Konan High School and debuted professionally in 1974. Known as the "Crested Serpent Eagle" from Ishigaki Island, he won the WBA world light flyweight title in 1976. He retired after his record 13 consecutive title defenses ended in 1981, with a professional record of 24 fights, 23 wins (15 by KO), and 1 loss.
Tenshin Nasukawa was born on August 18, 1998, in Matsudo City, Chiba Prefecture. He debuted in professional kickboxing at 15 in 2014 and participated in mixed martial arts with RIZIN in 2016. He won the RISE world featherweight title in 2018 and switched to professional boxing after his fight with Takeru in 2022. His professional record includes 9 boxing matches with 8 wins (3 by KO) and 1 loss, and 42 kickboxing matches with 42 wins (28 by KO).
